An unused ballot for the 1970 All-Star Game, the year fans got the All-Star vote back for the first time since 1957. It was also the first year they voted on punch cards: before, fans had clipped ballots out of newspapers, until a ballot-stuffing scandal in 1957 handed the vote to players and managers. Fans punched out the pre-scored box next to each player they picked, from Hank Aaron and Willie Mays to Johnny Bench and Carl Yastrzemski, and mailed the card in. Sponsored by Gillette, with ballots tabulated by Marden-Kane, Inc.
