A postcard from the European convention of IBM World Trade’s Hundred Percent Club, for salespeople who met their 1957 quotas, held in Stresa, Italy, on May 15 and 16, 1958. It carries the convention’s own postmark and was mailed to Essen, Germany, by way of Club IBM Italia’s stamp-collecting section. The sender writes in German that they landed safely, but the weather is so bad the water skiing will probably “fall into the water,” a German idiom for getting called off.
